Mixtape Guide
Mixtape 100% Trophy Guide & 1-Playthrough Checklist
Complete Mixtape trophy and achievement guide. Get 100% with our chronological 1-playthrough checklist, chapter select tips, and Front to Back warnings.
Mixtape is an easy platinum, but it is not a game you should button-mash through if you want a clean 100% run.
Most trophies are tied to short memory chapters: ollie over a car, kiss for 60 seconds, avoid crashing a shopping cart, make a secret slushy, hit pig balloons, sweep leaves, wreck a video store, and collect party items. The only trophy that needs real checklist discipline is Front to Back, because it spans multiple bedroom hub sections.
This guide is written as a chronological route. Follow it from the start, then use chapter select only for short cleanup trophies.

One-Playthrough Checklist
Use this checklist as your main route. If a step says “Front to Back”, it means you should clear the room’s white-dot interactions and unique conversations before touching the yellow story item. For the full object list, keep the Front to Back guide open.
| Order | Chapter / Section | Trophy / Achievement | What to do |
|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | Skate to Rockford’s | Thrashed | Ollie over a car during the opening skateboard ride. Shorter cars are easier than larger vehicles. |
| 2 | Rockford’s House | Front to Back progress | Start the bedroom checklist immediately. Clear all white-dot objects and conversations before the yellow story item. |
| 3 | The Kiss | French Connection | Stay in the kissing mini-game for at least 60 seconds, then exit. The trophy unlocks after you back out. |
| 4 | Rockford’s House return | Front to Back progress | Re-check Rockford’s room after the memory. New conversations and room objects appear across returns. |
| 5 | Shopping Cart Bomb | Smooth Shopper | Finish the shopping cart escape without crashing into cars, walls, poles, or hard obstacles. Small breakable alley clutter/boxes are not the main danger; keep the cart centered and stay clear of vehicles. |
| 6 | Rockford’s Headphones | Story progress | No special trophy here. After the memory, return to Rockford’s room and continue Front to Back cleanup. |
| 7 | Debbie’s Bedroom | Front to Back progress | Clear Debbie’s room interactions and conversations before opening yellow progression objects. |
| 8 | Ultimate Slushy | Grunge Metal Alchemist | Make Slater’s secret slushy: Blue Crush + Bubblegum + Orange + Lime. Use only those four flavors. |
| 9 | Photo Booth | Debbie room progress | Continue the Debbie room sequence and clear any new room interactions after returning. |
| 10 | Leaving Rockford’s room arc | Goodbye, Stacey’s Room | Story-related. Unlocks after completing all memories in Rockford’s room. |
| 11 | Skate to Cassandra’s | Cone Island, Baby. | Knock over 10 traffic cones during the skate from Rockford’s house. If you miss too many, replay the chapter later. |
| 12 | Skipping Stones | Skim Gordon | Throw a stone through the tire swing. Aim through the tire opening rather than just near it. |
| 13 | Cassandra’s House | Front to Back progress | Start Cassandra’s bedroom checklist before using the softball glove or yellow progression object. |
| 14 | Softball | And It’s Outta There! | When control switches to Cassandra, every Cassandra swing must be a home run. Some routes show seven Cassandra swings, but the actual condition is “hit only home runs as Cassandra.” |
| 15 | Toilet Paper Attack | Triple Ply | Throw 50 rolls at the house. Keep throwing until the trophy unlocks or the section ends. |
| 16 | Floating on Sadness | It’s the Pigs, Darling | There are five pig balloons in the floating section. You can hit a maximum route of three: aim for the 1st, 3rd, and 5th pigs. |
| 17 | Cassandra’s House / Rooftop return | Instructions Not Required | Complete the Minimaster assembly in under 15 seconds. It is strict; if you fail, finish the chapter and retry with chapter select. |
| 18 | Bodacious Cretaceous | Don’t. Move. | Take 20 photos in the dinosaur exhibit chapter. Keep taking photos whenever the camera is available. |
| 19 | Skateboard Explosion | Appetite For Destruction | Explode all objects on the way to the secret hideout. Steer into every destructible object rather than taking the clean route. |
| 20 | The Shitty Ritz | Front to Back / hub cleanup | Talk to Slater between mini-games and clear any available white-dot interactions around the hideout. |
| 21 | Door Painting | Paint it, Black, If You Want. | Paint the entire door in under 30 seconds. Use long, clean vertical strokes and cover missed strips quickly. |
| 22 | Couch Moving | Sofa King Fast | Move the couch into place within 30 seconds. Push consistently toward the marked placement spot and drop it once aligned. |
| 23 | Leaf Sweeping | Leaves That Are Green | Clear the leaves in under 45 seconds. Sweep toward the required area instead of chasing individual leaves randomly. |
| 24 | Slingshot | From the Hip | Hit all cans in under 30 seconds. Line up quickly and avoid over-aiming. |
| 25 | Slater’s House | Front to Back progress | Final major bedroom checklist. Do not leave until Slater’s room interactions and conversations are cleared. |
| 26 | Starlight Video | Doppelbanger | Knock over all character cutouts in the video store. |
| 27 | Starlight Video | Tapehead Graveyard | Knock 200 VHS tapes off the shelves. Keep crashing through shelves until the trophy unlocks. |
| 28 | Slater room completion | Eight Minute Odyssey | Story-related. Unlocks after completing Slater’s room arc. |
| 29 | The Run | Well, Take A Look At You | Do not miss a single jump or slide while rescuing Cassandra. If you miss an input, replay the chapter. |
| 30 | Coastal Cruise | Banned In Massachusetts | Do not miss any fireworks in the coastal cruise. Watch both sides and steer through every firework opportunity. |
| 31 | Party at the Ritz | Fight For Your Right | Acquire all party items. Film the required people and accept items from partygoers; high-fives alone do not count. |
| 32 | Finale | Last Song | Complete the game. |
| 33 | Final cleanup | Front to Back | If it did not unlock naturally, use the dedicated Front to Back guide to re-check bedroom sections. |
| 34 | PlayStation only | The Sound of the Future | Unlock every other trophy to earn the platinum. |
Tricky Trophies Explained
Smooth Shopper
Chapter: Shopping Cart Bomb
Grade: Gold
Requirement: Don’t crash once while escaping in the shopping cart.
The shopping cart section is mostly about staying calm. Keep the cart centered, avoid cars, avoid poles, and remember that you are still steering during camera-angle changes and cutscene-like shots.
Important detail: small breakable clutter in the alley is not the same as a full crash. Do not instantly restart just because you clip loose boxes or light debris. The real run-killers are hard impacts with cars, walls, poles, and road obstacles.
The trophy should unlock when you reach the bottom of the hill and the chapter-ending cutscene starts.
Grunge Metal Alchemist
Chapter: Ultimate Slushy
Grade: Gold
Requirement: Make Slater’s secret slushy recipe.

Use this recipe:
Blue Crush + Bubblegum + Orange + Lime
Only use those four flavors. Do not add cherry, cola, lemonade, or any extra flavor. The exact order is not the main requirement; the important thing is that the cup contains the correct four-flavor set.
For the short answer page, use the Grunge Metal Alchemist guide.
And It’s Outta There!
Chapter: Softball
Grade: Gold
Requirement: Hit only home runs as Cassandra.

Do not worry about the early Stacy swings. The trophy condition matters once the game switches control to Cassandra.
Your goal is simple:
- aim at the target circle
- time the swing cleanly
- make every Cassandra hit a home run
- restart the chapter if Cassandra hits anything that is not a home run
Some captured routes show seven Cassandra swings, but the safe wording is this: every pitch you hit as Cassandra must be a home run. That matches the trophy condition and avoids relying on a fixed pitch count if the chapter behaves differently after a retry.
If this feels awkward, increase look sensitivity before the chapter and lower dead zone slightly. It can make the aiming reticle easier to move into position.
It’s the Pigs, Darling
Chapter: Floating on Sadness
Grade: Bronze
Requirement: Hit 3 pig balloons.

There are multiple pig balloons in this floating route, but you only need 3. The safest pattern is to aim for the alternating pigs that line up with your path — effectively the 1st, 3rd, and 5th balloons in the sequence. Do not over-steer toward the off-line pigs, or you may miss the next reachable one.
If you miss one, do not panic. This is a good chapter select cleanup trophy.
Instructions Not Required
Chapter: Cassandra’s Rooftop / Minimaster sequence
Grade: Gold
Requirement: Complete Minimaster assembly in under 15 seconds.
This is one of the strictest timed trophies in Mixtape. The timer is short, so do not stop to inspect the device once the interaction starts.
Use this exact sequence:
- Pick up the Minimaster.
- Rotate it backward so you can see the back side.
- Open the battery compartment.
- Grab the first battery and place it into the back.
- Grab the second battery and place it into the back.
- Close the battery compartment.
- Flip the Minimaster back over.
- Press the red button.
If you miss the 15-second window, do not restart the whole game. Finish the section, then use chapter select and start from Cassandra’s Rooftop to retry the sequence.
Paint it, Black, If You Want.
Chapter: Door Painting
Grade: Silver
Requirement: Paint the entire door in under 30 seconds.
The safest method is vertical coverage. Start at the top of the door, hold the paint action, and move down in long strips. Do not try to paint in small circles. If the chapter does not end, look for thin unpainted strips near the sides or bottom.
Sofa King Fast
Chapter: Couch Moving
Grade: Silver
Requirement: Get the couch in place within 30 seconds.
Push consistently toward the placement marker. Do not over-correct. Once the couch is lined up with the marked spot, drop it immediately.
Tapehead Graveyard
Chapter: Starlight Video
Grade: Silver
Requirement: Knock 200 VHS tapes off the shelves.
This is not about precision. Keep smashing into shelves and do not leave the store too early. If the trophy has not unlocked, continue knocking down tapes before pushing the scene forward.
Fight For Your Right
Chapter: Party at the Ritz
Grade: Silver
Requirement: Acquire all the items at the party.
This trophy is not just about filming people. High-fives do not count. You need to accept drinks and food from partygoers and grab the loose items around the party.
Use this route after you enter the main party area:
| Order | Location / person | What to take |
|---|---|---|
| 1 | Left side of the party path | A girl in jeans hands you a beverage. Take it. |
| 2 | Near the keg group | Walk past the people around the keg. |
| 3 | Guy in a white shirt / nearby friend | Take the food they hand you. |
| 4 | Food table just behind them | Eat the food from the plate until you cannot take more. |
| 5 | Right side toward the house | A girl in black clothing hands you a beer. Take it. |
| 6 | Patio area | A girl in a checkered shirt can hand you another beverage. She may be a little finicky, so approach carefully and wait for the prompt. |
| 7 | Downstairs / ice bath area | Find the large bathtub or ice bath filled with drinks. Drink every beverage inside. There are about five. |
The trophy should unlock after you drink all the beverages from the ice bath. After that, continue filming the white-box party targets to finish the chapter.
Chapter Select Cleanup Priority
If you finish the game and still need trophies, clean them up in this order.
| Priority | Trophy | Why |
|---|---|---|
| 1 | Front to Back | Hardest to diagnose; use the dedicated checklist. |
| 2 | Smooth Shopper | Short but easy to fail from one bad collision. |
| 3 | And It’s Outta There! | Can take several retries if home runs are inconsistent. |
| 4 | Instructions Not Required | Very strict timer, but quick to retry. |
| 5 | Banned In Massachusetts | Late-game route; easy to miss one firework. |
| 6 | Starlight Video trophies | Doppelbanger and Tapehead Graveyard can be retried together. |
| 7 | Smaller timed trophies | Leaves That Are Green, From the Hip, Paint it, Black, Sofa King Fast. |
| 8 | Simple action trophies | Thrashed, Skim Gordon, Triple Ply, It’s the Pigs, Darling. |
For Front to Back, do not guess randomly. Use the Front to Back guide and re-check full room states.

FAQ
Are any Mixtape trophies missable?
Most trophy roadmaps treat Mixtape as having 0 hard-missable trophies because chapter select exists. In practice, Front to Back is the one you should protect during the first full playthrough because missed bedroom interactions are hard to diagnose later.
Can I get the platinum in one playthrough?
Yes. Follow the one-playthrough checklist and keep the Front to Back guide open during bedroom sections. Use chapter select only for short cleanup if needed.
Does chapter select work for every trophy?
It works very well for mini-game trophies. For Front to Back, it can help, but tracking is more confusing because you may not know which object or conversation did not count.
Which trophy should I worry about most?
Front to Back. It is not mechanically hard, but it has the most hidden tracking risk. The hardest pure mini-game trophies are more likely to be Smooth Shopper, And It’s Outta There!, Instructions Not Required, and Banned In Massachusetts.
Why did And It’s Outta There! not unlock?
The usual reason is that one Cassandra hit was not a home run. The trophy condition is not “hit some home runs”; it is hit only home runs as Cassandra.
Why did Smooth Shopper not unlock?
You probably had a hard crash during the shopping cart escape. Small loose clutter is less important than cars, walls, poles, and road obstacles. If in doubt, replay Shopping Cart Bomb with a cleaner route.
